About PG-Fun With Grenades:

Enclosed in this archive is a new physics model for Marathon. I've seen a number of posts on the net about having the ability to "drop" or "lob" grenades off of ledges to unsuspecting people below. Well, here's what you've all been waiting for. This physics model allows you to lightly drop grenades off of ledges so that they land about 3 feet in front of you. I designed it so that it appeared you were throwing them overhand from your left hand. However, this physics model also changes a few other things. Since I had to change the way grenades fly, I decided to change the way the assault rifle fires so that it matches the way the old grenade launcher fired grenades. So now, you have an MA-75 that fires long range grenades, as well as lobs. Also, for those who still long for the old assault rifle bullet fire, I altered the pistol so that it now looks and acts like the assault rifle. There's an added bonus to doing it this way as well. Now, if you pick up a second pistol, you can have two assault rifles for use at the same time!

In all cases, I left the ammo for each gun the same as the original ammo, so there wouldn't be any shortages of grenades or assault rifle clips.

Also, there's one potential problem with this physics model (I haven't checked yet). Since the troopers fire grenades, when they go to shoot one, a lobbed grenade may come out of the gun and they could be killed by it. If you want less of a challenge in the game, this is good, but if you want the troopers the way they normally are, I don't think there's much you can do about this.

Don't forget to apply the PG-Bullet-Flyby-Patch before using this physics model!

As always, comments and suggestions are welcome:
